Atlas Copco Mining and Rock Excavation Technique contribute to preserve local heritage
November 18, 2016 – SUDBURY, ONTARIO – The Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Centre unveiled a freshly restored Hot Copper only made possible with the generous donation from Atlas Copco.
“It is part of Sudbury’s mining history and now that process has changed with technology, mining rail cars are no longer needed for this. Car#5 use to carry hot metals such as gold and silver across our local train tracks to a different location for further processing. This museum in Capreol is special to the community and beyond as it preserves our local heritage from restoring train cars, old fire trucks etc…anything directly related to our history”. Said Sylvie Dumas, Business Controller Atlas Copco Mining and Rock Excavation Technique Canada
