Safety First at Atlas Copco
June 23, 2015 – NORTH BAY, Ont. – Strong record of more than 1000 consecutive days of no lost time accidents at Atlas Copco Exploration Products in North Bay, Ontario, Canada.
This achievement has nothing to do with just good luck. It is the result of a continuous effort to grow the right company culture.
Safety is not a strategy nor is it a project. Working in a safe way is not something we do because it is mandatory; safety has become part of our culture, part of our DNA. We do this every day, again and again in everything we do – it’s our way of living. And yes, we wear safety shoes and hearing protection at home when mowing the lawn on a Saturday.
We wear safety glasses not because we have to, we wear them because we care about our vision. We wear hearing protection not because we have to, but because we love listening to music and want to be able to hear the fantastic stories of our children and grandchildren.
At Atlas Copco Exploration Products, we do safety every day and with all functions involved. We listen to our employees. Every idea is important. During our daily pulse meetings, we make decisions and never hesitate to invest in continuous improvement. If it makes sense, we just do it!
In North Bay, safety always comes first and with safety comes increased quality and improved efficiency. It is fun to work in a safe environment and it gives everyone energy and motivation. We are proud to work for Atlas Copco Exploration Products! For further information please contact:
