Warehouse automation project running smoothly at Atlas Copco Mining and Rock Excavation Technique
September 3, 2015 – MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO – In collaboration with RF Pathways Warehouse Management System, the head office of Atlas Copco Mining and Rock Excavation Technique located in Mississauga, Ontario has introduced a powerful new barcoding system. With the help of this new software, the warehouse administration ranging from receiving to the picking and shipping as well as warehouse management, will be fully automated.
Mr. André Bertrand, Business Line Manager – Service Division, pointed out important deliverables that are also beneficial to the customer: improved accuracy in order delivery; better trace ability and shipping information captured; cost-effectiveness; inventory control, etc. The system also allows the warehouse staff to easily measure their key performance indicators.
The success of such endeavor depends only on the excellence and cooperation of a close-knit team, more specifically: warehouse staff, IT department and parts and service.
