Atlas Copco Series 1 Compressors feature new compact build
New range of Atlas Copco air compressors features a significantly smaller canopy and single axle undercarriage; meeting customer needs for the rental and construction sectors.
The new range has been designed to offer customers, particularly in the rental and construction sectors with reduced operating costs. The canopy has been optimized, whereby the reduced dimensions and lighter weight allows the operator to easily manage the compressor from site to site.
The hood concept enclosure provides excellent access to all service and maintenance points. All replacement parts are conveniently grouped and within easy reach, ensuring reduced maintenance times.
Powered by the COM 2 (C2), and in January 2008 the latest COM 3 (C3) compliant Deutz 4-cylinder diesel engines the Series 1 compressors meet the latest exhaust emission and noise directive criteria for off-highway vehicles.
Total cost of ownership through lower fuel consumption, improved serviceability, and longer machine life are priorities for both models. These compressors have the best fuel consumption in their class, allowing excellent fuel autonomy for complete working shifts.
Both models are ideal for running pneumatic breakers, general construction work, sandblasting and rental fleets.
The units are equipped as standard with a large fuel tank capacity of 117 liters (31 US gal) for a minimum full-load 8 hour shift supply.
The units are capable of operating in all ambient temperature conditions from -10°C (14°F) to +50°C (122°F) and up to 2500 m (1364 ft) altitude, with a duty cycle of 80% of the operating time at full load of a wide variety of applications. Optional cold start aids are available making the machine capable to start at temperatures as low as -20°C (-4°F).
Another feature available on this unit is COSMOS™. Atlas Copco’s new electronic remote global management system allows customers to reduce their costs of ownership with a wealth of information on the compressor’s operation and service.
To provide real time communication and excellent coverage, COSMOS™ uses the GPRS/CDMA network, which supplies accurate and up-to-date information. The use of GPS ensures that equipment can be tracked at all times and at any location.
COSMOS™ for example allows Atlas Copco to offer its customers an even better aftermarket service. The new system is designed for global operation with complete support for all Atlas Copco systems.
A wide range of options
A broad range of options are also available to suit almost any application, including after cooler with water separator, fine filter or re-heater, road signalization, spark arrestor (US Forest approved), refinery equipment and many more.
Above all, Atlas Copco compressors are built for reliability and simple easy maintenance, and many years of loyal and trouble free service. The benefits of this redesigned range will offer customers the utmost in performance and economy within the smallest dimensional platform on the market.
